Holy Frankenkraut!

Street food at its finest! Went to La Brea tar pits on Saturday and was fortunate enough to experience Franken's hot dog stand. Delish! Franken's is a haunted street cart selling plant-based dogs. The cart has great marketing and design- even stored the extra supplies in "100% all beef patty" cardboard boxes. The owner/server had on a smart outfit too- black and white striped dress shirt, suspenders, black skinny jeans and a top hat with a little bone sewn on it. I tried all three dogs offered- the wolf-yum, the witch- yum but a little small for the bun, and the franken- yum. The toppings were spot on- sauerkraut, jalapeƱos, pickles, relish, onions, cilantro. Also fab sauces for endless combinations- ketchup, bbq, spicy and yellow mustards, vegenaise, and HOT SAUCE! yes, hot sauce- thank you, franken's. Great experience to eat spooky dogs amid plants from the Ice Age and mammoth mannequins.
If they only had plant-based spooky cats for dessert the meal would have been untouchable.

kelswort says: It will be mine.

I NEED millimeter wave imaging technology and I need it now. The ability to detect foreign objects in humans is imperative to feed my innate curiosity and borderline voyeurism disorder. The scanner uses electromagnetic waves to create an image based on energy reflected from the body, every millimeter of the body, and the potential for my personal use is voluminous. kelsworth reports: mourning dove in flower box!

A pair of mourning doves built a nest in the nasturtium box last week. We only saw one egg but reports claim there should be two. Watering the plants has resumed as the doves are accustomed to our comings and goings. Hope our mourning dove fledglings survive against the 80% odds of mortality
